Recovery from Long Covid was complex. I had to build a deep understanding of my body. I used a long list of practical tools to help my body heal. And I learned to lean on others.
Thank you for sharing your story, Nicole. I've just found your site via The Tonic. Are you planning to share about medications and supplements at some point? Your clarity about your recovery process is helpful. Thank you.
Glad to hear it’s helpful for you, thanks for letting me know. Someone else also just asked me about supplements, so I’ve started thinking through a post for that - I hope to have to time put that together soon.
I might write about medications, too, at some point. Those deserve medical expertise (I don’t have that training sadly), but I can try to point to the right resources!
Thank you for sharing your journey! Please write about how you incorporated cold plunges into your recovery. My daughter (an athlete) just bought an ice pod which I've tried. I would like to learn more about this from you.
Thank you for sharing this--I'm excited to have found your blog. I hope, in particular, you'll talk about the work you did on vagus nerve stimulation. I haven't found appropriate devices available in the U.S.
Thank you Lila! I will definitely write about that, I have a lot of thoughts. I don't have a device that I can 100% recommend unfortunately, will share more details why. Mine is "good enough" though. It's from https://vagus.net/ and was recommend by Dr. Carla Kuon at UCSF (I linked to her book in my post today, on foundational information). Hope that's helpful in the meantime!
Hi Lila. I read Nicole's post and immediately bought a vagus nerve stimulator from Pulsetto. I've been using it for about 4 weeks and I think I'm really liking it (it may be a bit early to be certain). I'm in California. I found the same gel that Pulsetto sells on Amazon for much less money.
This is super great! I love your framework and how you’ve set it all out 💗 I’m actually a little bit jealous that I haven’t managed to do it! I’m in recovery too (from chronic migraine, fatigue, fibro, tinnitus, anxiety and depression). Learning to regulate my emotions has taken me beyond what is medically believed is possible given how severe and disabled I was. I’m a writer with books in the early stages of being published and I’m still working out my framework for my 5th book😆 I kind of have it but I haven’t yet been able to get it all out of me in a neat packaged way🙃 it’s coming though. Great to learn of you today through Amy at the tonic 🙏
Thank you for sharing your story 🙏
You're very welcome Katharina. Hope it's helpful <3
Very insightful and helpful! Thank you Nicole!
Glad to hear it's helpful Melissa!
I love how you’ve organized this into a visual framework, Nicole. Can’t wait to read more.
I'm glad to hear, Amy! Would love your feedback and advice as I go along. Thanks for sharing :)

Hey Lila, update here: I wrote a post on it. Hope it's helpful! LMK if you have any other questions, and I'm curious for your report if you end up trying it out. https://www.mylongrecovery.com/p/how-i-used-vagus-nerve-stimulation
